Looking for puzzles in fiction, looking primarily for puzzles that are intricate, somehow connected to the plot and that CAN BE SOLVED by the above-average player/reader.

Although perhaps fairly standard puzzles are used, they are solvable and necessary to the narrative...































A puzzle box (also called a secret, or trick box) is a box that can only be opened through some obscure or complicated series of manipulations.  Some puzzle boxes may require only a simple squeeze in the correct area, whereas others may require the subtle movement of several small parts, to open the box.

Once, you were born and you lived a life, seeing as one supposes others see.

In the kaleidoscope, the same parts can be made to create millions of different patterns.
The exact detail of the patterns is a dance between you and the Multiverse, and you can turn the lens as many times as you want without ever seeing the same pattern twice!

How lucky you are, to have the skill and ability not to see like other people.....!
